CLARE PRENTON

"Men don’t talk face to face – they talk shoulder to shoulder." Three strangers find laughter, bird boxes and biscuits in a fictional men’s shed that celebrates camaraderie, connection and custard creams — challenging the myth that “men don’t talk.” Clare Prenton directs her first full length play, inspired by conversations with her local Scottish ‘shedders’. After a successful Scottish tour - including a special performance in the Scottish Parliament - the play is revived in partnership with the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association and the Mental Health Foundation in Scotland - timely, tender and relevant as ever. This work was created with Peebles and District Mens Shed; The Scottish Men’s Sheds Association and The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
